The name of this forum is "Walk Away From Fundamentalism" and it is described officially as "a support forum for those who have left or are in the process of leaving fundamentalist Christianity," This is blatantly false advertising. This forum is dominated by members who have left not only fundamentalism, but Christianity in particular, and religion in general. They are confirmed atheists intent on spreading there own brand of fundamentalist atheism. In response to badgering by these ideological bullies one member has said, "Fundamentalism is a particular variety of Christianity. Walking away from Fundamentalism does not demand walking away from Christianity." Well on this forum it does!

I have no problem with this per se. Although I think its funny that you said:

It would be nice to have a place to explore our thoughts and feelings without subjecting them to the critical review of atheists and new-agers.

  What's wrong with critical review?

What I would really like to know from the other believers on this board--Do you feel that we athiests are too critical? Do you need a place of your own? No judgement, just would really like to know. Although, methinks this particular member might just want a private place to cut and paste some drive by sermons...

"Always," said Snape.

Which would be fine in a Christian-only section, as those of us who have left the faith entirely wouldn't frequent there.  I, too, am interested in what other Christian Walk-awayers have to say about pumbaa's suggestion.

We have a forum for support. Its the aptly named "Support Forum".

If xians on the board felt like they were being attacked, or weren't given adaquate support-
I would be really worried. If there was a need to give them there own space, I would be more than happy to do so. That's why I ask-Are there any other xians on the board that feel that they need their own space?

pumbaa expresses a very similar finding to mine about WAFF:

The name of this forum is "Walk Away From Fundamentalism" and it is described officially as "a support forum for those who have left or are in the process of leaving fundamentalist Christianity," This is blatantly false advertising. This forum is dominated by members who have left not only fundamentalism, but Christianity in particular, and religion in general. It's clear that WAFF is for extremist, fundamentalist atheists, and no-one else need apply.

I take it also that pumbaa was dealt with by summary banishment, as you've attempted with me...?

It's clear that no other pov are welcome, so please stop kidding yourselves...

Give it up Caspar. you're not going to change anyone's mind.

The audience left two days ago.

I"ll scatter their ships across the world. If I could meet with the devil right now, I would give him anything for power, for he is the only way to power for women in this world.
