The full title of the book is Ferocious Romance: What my encounters with the Right taught me about Sex, God and Fury and it's written by Donna Minkovitz, a left wing lesbian feminist. I haven't read the book but I've read reviews on various website and there's a good one athttp://www.cleansheets.com/archive/archreviews/minkowitz_9.8.99.htmlas well as on the Amazon website.Minkovitz sees parallels with the Religious Right and the gay activist and sado-masochistic movements. She says that the gay and lesbian activists project their hate and intolerance on the Religious Right while the latter project their lust and sexual cravings on the former confusing the two.
