Hi everyone,

Long time no see. I tried visiting a few times, but the forums were down. In the meantime, I've started working for Marlene Winell, the psychologist who helps people recover from fundamentalist religion. She would like to do more of her "Release and Reclaim" retreats in the U.S., so I'm looking for some input that will help us plan future locations. To learn more about the retreats, check out www.marlenewinell.net. If it seems like something you'd like to see in your area, let me know. Just send me a message saying something like "yes, I'd like to have a retreat in my area", and mention your state and city/town. You can use the e-mail fcs_desk@live.com

By the way, the next retreat is only a few weeks away, on March 13,15th, in Amherst, Mass. There was still space last I checked. The next 2 are in California and Colorado. If you would like to attend any of these, the info is on the website.

Wishing you all the best Logo...
Great stuff!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------
In exchange for obedience, Christianity promises salvation in an afterlife; but in order to elicit obedience through this promise, Christianity must convince people that they need salvation, that there is something to be saved from. Christianity has nothing to offer a happy person living in a natural, intelligible universe. If Christianity is to gain a motivational foothold, it must declare war on earthly pleasure and happiness, and this, historically, has been its precise course of action. In the eyes of Christianity, woman(man) is sinful and helpless in the face of God, and is potential fuel for the flames of hell. Just as Christianity must destroy reason before it can introduce faith, so it must destroy happiness before it can introduce salvation.
