The Endless Forest is a fantastic game by Tale of Tales. In this game, you are a deer with a humanoid face (Great Forest Spirit, anyone?). There is no main objective in this game, and all you need to do is run around, enjoy the fantastic graphical scenery, and communicate with others. By the way, there is no text in the game. Other players are identified by their pictograms which appear between their antlers. To communicate, players use body language. This may sound boring to some, and it is if you're use to games involving some sort of aggression. Don't get me wrong--I play games in which one has to use or can choose to use aggression if it suits him or her. This game is a nice break from regular gaming. The Endless Forest is described as a work of art more than anything else by the game creators. As far as the lack of text chat is concerned, in this game, I find it fun and intellectually stimulating to figure out what other people are trying to communicate. I generally lose a couple of hours playing this game, and it's fine my me. It's not one of those games in which one spends more than three or four hours playing. It's just a delightful pick-me-up in my day.The Endless Forest Website (click)

In exchange for obedience, Christianity promises salvation in an afterlife; but in order to elicit obedience through this promise, Christianity must convince people that they need salvation, that there is something to be saved from. Christianity has nothing to offer a happy person living in a natural, intelligible universe. If Christianity is to gain a motivational foothold, it must declare war on earthly pleasure and happiness, and this, historically, has been its precise course of action. In the eyes of Christianity, woman(man) is sinful and helpless in the face of God, and is potential fuel for the flames of hell. Just as Christianity must destroy reason before it can introduce faith, so it must destroy happiness before it can introduce salvation.
