Food fetish never did anything for me, but that photo of the artichoke with mayo - spice it up a bit. A touch of curry and some lemon juice in the mayo really compliments the artichoke - whatever you do with it.

Food fetishism.........hey if you've ever been inside a church and participated with the congregation in that ol'......wine/bread thang then you've had one of the oldest and most popular 'food fetish' in town.

Thanks for the introduction to the EELS, Snakey. Is that a radiator he's hammerin' on? It reminds me of my school days... For some reason, those radiators were always the most fascinating thing in the whole damned room for the duration of the whole damned class--especially to every boy and especially after our caretakers decided to insulate the pipes with asbestos! We'd viciously stab that insulation with our pencils and cut it with our knives, tearing at it, and throwing it at each other--'cause every boy carried a pocketknife back then... I'm sure that somebody probably ate some of it just to see what it tasted like. Asbestos causes cancer doesn't it?
Anyway, after the annihilation of the asbestos, we had to resort to throwing very sharp pencils at each other in order to get our kicks. Sometimes the pencil would be thrown with such accuracy and force that it'd penetrate into the skin and just hang there... Of course, we'd have to go running and show the teacher what the other kid did to us. And then, the primary culprit and instigator of all this juvenile madness, whom I think of now as "Angus Young, Jr.," got careless and farted one fateful day when that gargantuan Nazi Stormtrooper of a woman was listening. She wrote him a "pink slip" and gave him home suspension for several days. That was the end of him for awhile... Reason cited on the slip: "Passing gas in class." He showed it to me! I saw it in writing!! Hahahah!!
Now, about mayonnaise. From Ambrose Bierce's The Devil's Dictionary, published in 1911, 4 years before Sister White's death:

"sharp pencils'....reminds me of something gross that happened ages and ages ago...
We were hangin' out...my Hub was cleaning out the bong with a metal skewer....the kind you make kebabs with or test cakes.........
Actually he wasn't just cleaning it out....but scraping out the thick black resin from inside the metal pipe - that thingy that you insert in plastic container's to make a bong...
To give you a bit of history.......if I remember correctly that year there was a what we called a 'drought'.......an unfortunate scarcity of Marijiwana...oh there was a bit of leaf to be had...but nerry a sniff of the juicey heads we had been smokin before. Good fortune had stuck us - a large crop had been 'busted' not too far up the coast from where we lived and somehow we got the news before it hit the airwaves. It was the natural thing to do.....to jump into our cars in the evening to see what was going on. It was like finding gold on the ground. The silly drug force (a bunch of new police recruits) had been ripping out and burning the plants - evidently....they grew tired and lazy as we saw many juicy head and branches still lay all over the field. Haha...it was a matter of going in and gathering it all up.........................the dope was a tad muddy......but nothing that would deter any ....'nature lover'.
There you have it.................as you know......all good things come to an end.
Back to the task.......the scraping and collecting of said resin was a febible attempt to salvage the dark toxic resin partly to get HIgh but also to aliviate the boredom that comes to when ya don't have drugs.
Without any to do......my Hub....holds up his hand and says....."look at this'........and the he asks Davo 'hey Davo, grab hold of this thing and give it a pull"............Davo when fucking Green in the face. That's the first thing I saw....then I looked to see what Davo was looking at..
YUK YUK
.....the skewer had pieced Hubs hand right through the middle so the thing was sticking out the other side as if his hand was some kind of insect or specimen.
Eh....that resin didn't go far either.
( I can still recall the smell of it....nothing like bong water)

Way back when, about 20 years ago, I remember dumping a big can of pineapple chunks with lots of juice into the ol' red "Tower of Power." We used it for a day or two, and then, like a man possessed, Ed decided that he just had to drink it! I can't believe I got that far the other night! I fell asleep in my recliner thinking that I had left something incomplete, with several errors. I woke up with "The Headache From Hell," after daylight in the morning, and turned the 'puter off fast like. As soon as I stood up and opened my eyes, I saw lots of dark spots flying around like bats from Hades and I saw brilliant flashes of light like a bunch of little stars going supernova. But I didn't think much of it...I only drink half as much as I used to. Anyway, I took some Alka-Seltzer, and then, feeling better already, decided to chow down on something (what was it???) and then some brocolli casserole left over from Thanksgiving, and then I went to bed for about 24 hours...
When I woke up, I went out on the porch in the daylight and immediately noticed these "floater" thangs inside me fuckin' eyeballs!! I've never had them before. The only reason I know about them is because my Dad has them and described it to me about 2-3 years ago. We haven't talked about it since.
I guess I've got some new friends who've come to spend some quality time with me... Ha!! Anybody else here got this problem?? Oh, yeah, don't forget to pray for me!  I'm gonna call Robert Tilton right now!!

Btw, I woke up on the (very hard) kitchen floor a couple of mornings ago with a pack of hot dogs and an open jar of peanut butter on the table, but not wallowing in bits of broken glass this time, since I have become a styrofoam devotee & activist.
