Ok--post your favorite snack food recipes that you DON'T serve to company. Not--"i open a bag of doritos".You have to actually combine two or more foodstuffs into a glorious White Trash Snack. LIke, pouring peanuts into a bottle of RC, then eating & drinking at the same time.Come on, 'fess up!!!Smudit

Some love is just a lie of the heart
The cold remains of what began with a passionate start
And they may not want it to end
But it will it's just a question of when
I've lived long enough to have learned
The closer you get to the fire the more you get burned
It's hard when you're always afraid
You just recover when another belief is betrayed
So break my heart if you must
It's a matter of trust

The ultimate white trash sandwich:

Wonder bread with miracle whip, spam, Velveeta, and iceberg lettuce.

Haven't had the courage to try it.

when i was alot younger and poorer, i used to bake a big dish of lasagne every couple weeks. to make if go further, i used to eat it on sandwiches.

before i met my wife, she used to eat frozen vegetables with instant soup powder in the microwave. thing is, she would've gladly served that up to a guest, which is one good treason that she was still single when i met her

That is from a book. . .Which one?

I ate that at my aunt & uncles house recently, and it was the best turkey I have ever eaten in my life.

I like:

Peanut butter & banana on toast

Grilled Cheese cut up into little squares and mixed with Chef Boyardee Beefaroni

My dad likes to put pieces of  cornbread in a glass of milk. *gack* My brothers and I scoff at him for doing that. He does not show much tolerance for people who do things outside his bourgeois, conservative point of view, yet he wants us to except his eccentricities, which he seems to think are understated. This is the sort of attitude that is bred in the Bootheel of Missouri.

Speaking of  unusual deep fried foods, we Saint Louisans eat  toasted (deep-fried) ravioli. Which is often ordered as an appetizer in restaurants here. yum yum. Legend has it that a drunk German , in an Italian restaurant, spilled some ravioli into hot oil , noticing his accident, he put it on the bar and people ordered some more. That's not  white trash food, infact this regional specialty has been featured on The Food Network a few times, and Emeril did toasted ravioli an injustice when he did it on his "Tour of the Mississippi" show.
