I have been playing substance abuse counselor for a friend of mine....we are  share an apartment , he is sort of a combination of Early Grace from the movie Kalifornia and Randle Patrick Mcmurphy from One flew over the kookoos nest... he is a long term dissfelowshipped jehovas witness.....with 20 years of all drugs drunkeness and debauchery and criminal activity... we had some fun... he is the only "outside" person that knows that I am a practicing satanist... last Fall I paid all his bills and got him to go to the nuthouse and a rehab...( was really going to off himself... and he has kids).. he kept his  good job and paid me back.... he still has serious psychiatric issues ( though he reallty made a lot of progress on figuring things out for a while)... Now he wants to go back to the bullshit Kingdom hall and get reinstated.....
It is obvious to me that he can't face things and wants another  escape .... I am no big fan of shrinks...but this guy needs yaers of help.... he did every drug imaginable for 20 years and will not take psych meds... even though he needs them... he is also a severe adrenaline junkie  undiagnosed adhd or some shit.

I am actually supportive of his attempts to return to the bullshit religion , if it will help him..... researched going back for him ( from my reading... looks like the only thing you can do that would preclude being reinstated is committing active public critical thinking regarding the church of some sort ( they sure as fuck can't let that be around)

This is just a very weird situation... anyway....... I am gearing up to move to Europe at the end of the year......

Greeting Sunspots...How's your lovely Polish Gal?...Not moving over to her 'place' are you? ...YOu lucky ducky...doing over - moving! I love the idea of that! ..................Mmm..a chatau in France..or more to my fantasy...A yatch floating around the Greek islands!....(pity I don't do Retsina anymore)
Okay..dream on Snakey..

Yeah..tis a weird situation - you supporting your mate to return to bullshit religion...?? ....But what the heck..whatever floats yer boat? Strikes me as being somewhat of an irony...that a person with 'serious psychiatric issues' would want to go back to the JW's or anywhere like that....
or should I have said...ONLY a person with 'serious psychiatric issues' would want to go back to Kingdom Hall.

(I'd let your friend research that one for himself......But I do find it interesting....so the person has to be deaf, dumb and blind..and convince the leaders that they have been basically living like a JW anyway...the whole thing is stoopid)

Yeah...the psych meds would be a better option. (not that I'm a fan of those either...)

Oh & Bon Voyage'...

In exchange for obedience, Christianity promises salvation in an afterlife; but in order to elicit obedience through this promise, Christianity must convince people that they need salvation, that there is something to be saved from. Christianity has nothing to offer a happy person living in a natural, intelligible universe. If Christianity is to gain a motivational foothold, it must declare war on earthly pleasure and happiness, and this, historically, has been its precise course of action. In the eyes of Christianity, woman(man) is sinful and helpless in the face of God, and is potential fuel for the flames of hell. Just as Christianity must destroy reason before it can introduce faith, so it must destroy happiness before it can introduce salvation.
