I guess I'll be briefer.A forum/place for younger people.)
that's something i hadn't considered before. you said in your other post that you feel that younger people may be shy of posting alongside people with a wealth of experience and study to draw on, which sort of makes sense. also, i think it is pertinent to note that our desires and objectives are driven by different needs as young people. i remember that we had a 13 year old posting here once and i knew at the time that our dialogue was a little heavy for that (very intelligent) individual. even though there are similarities to a deconversion that occurs at any age, the differences are also vast. i started to deconvert as a young teenager but i had to wait to get to adulthood to stumble upon the idea of critical reasoning, for example. unfortunately, the shock of university overwhelmed me and i bailed within months. the academic process which calls for a student to qualifying their opinions scared the living daylights out of me. my point is that i am very concerned about providing a starting point for young people to explore their doubts and questions in a supportive and age-specific forum. rhianna, you have my vote as 'junior' moderator of any future forum for young people........sorry if that comes off as condascending......i know your iq would probably make mine look like a golf handicap;-) as for the naming of such a forum, certainly not anything that seemed 'teenie'......more along the lines of being an 'undergraduate' in the university of life sor of thing. OK, i'm rambling now. suffice it to see i see merit in rhianna's suggestion.
