So how come he decided to go ahead and invade Iraq a decade later?
Yeah..I know. Is this guy back peddling like mad or what!!? ...We get so frustrated over in my neck of the woods. These 'politicians' must take the public to be complete idiots who don't have a clue or a memory of all the lies that they spun & ran with at the time to justify invading Iraq...you know WHERE are the weapons of MAss Destruction???
but..in this clip Cheney says the US couldn't wage war with Iraq ALONE..& without the rest of the world's backing. oh Derr... & in some cases more like Australia's John Howard (PrimeMinister) blind obedience of a school boy - that its embarrassing to watch Bush and Howard together. Byw....JohnHoward decline in the popularity polls started about the time Bush arrived in Australia for that silly 'world leader get together' last month.
anyway...Its good to see a lot of European nations leaving it alone and pulling out. I'd say...unless something drastic happens in the US ...American's will be dying over there for decades to come... Australian involvement - I don't think a change in government in AUstralia is going to make much difference either?
Oh yeah..(sarcasm)... Cheney didn't mention the REAL reason the US are in the Middle East .......power, money & oil.
The whole thing makes me mad! Politican's are lying bastards.

In exchange for obedience, Christianity promises salvation in an afterlife; but in order to elicit obedience through this promise, Christianity must convince people that they need salvation, that there is something to be saved from. Christianity has nothing to offer a happy person living in a natural, intelligible universe. If Christianity is to gain a motivational foothold, it must declare war on earthly pleasure and happiness, and this, historically, has been its precise course of action. In the eyes of Christianity, woman(man) is sinful and helpless in the face of God, and is potential fuel for the flames of hell. Just as Christianity must destroy reason before it can introduce faith, so it must destroy happiness before it can introduce salvation.
