I am awaiting a web page of links for fox_maiden. Otherwise, I now have the bare bones of a site as listed in my above post. Anybody have any other ideas for areas? If not, I'll go with it and start asking for content...

I have the bare bones of a web site which mostly includes the areas of navigation with no content added yet. Please take at look at it and give me your input. Before I start putting content up, I would like to have the basic skeleton finalized.

I'm posting my barebones idea for the site. I don't have the logos done because I'm not much of a graphic artist. I know there's some folks that are way better at that than I, so I will leave it to them if they're interested. Right now the logos just have oddly colored blocks as place-holders, so please ignore their ugliness.
I've borrowed a design from another creator, and I'm still reworking it to better fit our needs. See what you all think and let me know. http://www.chickitychina.com/wa/
I think if we get enough ideas going we can end up with a fantastic site.
{added}I couldn't sleep last night, so I started playing around with some idea, borrowing some different styles, and just seeing what might look decent. But tonight I'm going to bed, and I'll keep playing around with the setup more tomorrow.{/added}

I started tossin some logo ideas around in my head, starting with two sets of footprints in the sand that separate and go different directions while one evaporates or sumptin like that. Then I thought there should be some signs of a struggle, and from there the ideas quickly went very very south. They aren't logo ideas anymore, they are tshirt designs/cartoons sure to get me assassinated by some baptist militant were they to be seen.
I'll keep tryin.

I think that Brak's is nicer that St Thomas's but that's probably got a lot to do with the fact that there is text and a white background in the former and clouds in the latter (I have a thing about clouds and not liking them). Opening to the intro and then with links at both the top and bottom is nice.
Both also seem to be completely idiot friendly too.

Thank you all for your kind comments. To be fair, I did borrow the layout from another site, but I think it gives an idea of my vision for the site. A pretty simple layout of header with logo, navigation, body text, and footer. Still working on the layout. I've been out of commission for the past week with a nasty case of strep throat. Still recovering.
Flint: I think the footprints idea is along the right track. Since we want to be open to as many people as possible, you're right in wanting to avoid anything overtly anti-religious. I don't know if you remember the old WA site, but the logo was of a woman with her back turned, walking away from the viewer. That seems to be the kind of mood I was thinking of as I tried to make a logo myself. But I don't seem to be able to recreate what my brain sees onto an actual screen.
