The Christian derived Pantheism page can't be displayed, I don't know why.

fox_maiden, you have lots of great stuff here.  In fact, you have the major part of a whole web site.  If you go to the WA Project Commitee forum, you can link to the skeleton site I have produced.  Please let me know any ideas you have as to how we can incorporate the information you have provided into this structure.

Thanks for your work.  The information is great! Visit Smiley Central!

Hi Foxmaiden, I just looked at what you have so far and saw that you were looking for some additional links on humanism, UU, and others.  Here are some I've found very useful.

Humanism:
http://www.secularhumanism.org/intro/index.htm - Council for Secular Humanism

http://www.humanism.org.uk/site/cms/ - British Humanist Association

http://www.americanhumanist.org/ - American Humanist Association

Unitarian Universalism:
http://www.uua.org/ - Unitarian Universalist Association

http://www.cuups.org/ - Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans

Skepticism:
www.skeptic.com - Website of the Skeptics Society

Ethics:
http://www.aeu.org/ - American Ethical Union

Buddhism:
http://www.buddhanet.net/ Since I am not Buddhist, I guess I can't really vouch for this website, but I found it very comprehensive and helpful.  It offers an introduction to Buddhism.

Atheism and criticism of Christianity:
http://www.abarnett.demon.co.uk/atheism/atheism_index.htm - The Atheist Articles: essays about atheism and critical examinations of various theistic (mainly Christian) doctrines.  Lots of humor here too.

http://www.ethicalatheist.com/ - The Ethical Atheist

Critical thinking:
http://www.philosophers.co.uk - The Philosophers Magazine online.  I believe this was put into the ethics and morality section, but I think it might be better off in the critical thinking section.

Books:
Writings on an Ethical Life, by Peter Singer (for Ethics section)

I'm not sure where this book might go on the website, perhaps Skepticism.  I think it is very helpful in understanding religious belief, both in human history/society as a whole, as well as in oneself.  The author is respectful of religious belief, not dismissive.

Religion Without God by Ray Billington (perhaps in the recovering your spirituality section, under agnosticism/atheism

Did I say that?  Haven't done it yet.  Other things have taken the front seat and I probably wont work on this much until the New Year. Just checkingin to let you all know I haven't completely vanished.

I've been looking at Marlene Winnell's website several times (must remember to print it out and keep it for reference) and it struck me that when we leave fundamentalism it's only the start.  It takes years if not decades to establish more complex and healthy ways of thinking.  My suggestion is that there could be a page on the old rigid ways of thinking with alternative suggestions.  Of course we can't tell people what to think no more than we can tell them that God doesn't exist but we give a choice of alternative world views.

For example, living life as merely preparation for the afterlife could be replaced by 'be here now'.  Seeing oneself as a creation of God could be replaced by seeing oneself as a creative being.
